Wells Museum

Writer's picture: Chris WinterChris Winter

Just as so many institutions, Wells museum closed its doors to the public nearly five

months ago, but that does not mean that nothing has happened behind those closed

doors.

A dedicated team of volunteers have been working extremely hard – observing all the necessary safe working conditions of course – to make improvements to the garden and to make the interior coronavirus-safe, as well as mounting a new exhibition ready for re-opening in August.

Open days will be limited, probably to Saturdays only, but this will be reappraised as the situation we are living with continues to change.

The Civic Society is very pleased to have been able to make a £500 contribution to help to

support all this work, which will be of such value to the local community and to the visitors,

as they begin to return to the city.
